Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Insulator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems across various construction projects. Your expertise will help improve energy efficiency, safety, and comfort in buildings by applying insulation materials accurately and efficiently. Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine insulation specifications and installation procedures
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, mineral wool and urethane according to project requirements
• Install insulation on piping, ducts, exchangers, tanks, boilers and other building components following safety protocols and industry standards
• Use hand tools such as knives, saws, trowels, and tin snips safely and effectively during installation tasks
• Operate power tools including drills and saws with attention to safety guidelines
• Climb ladders, scaffolding and mobile equipment safely to access elevated areas for insulation installation or repairs
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure insulation work meets specifications and quality standards
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S

Experience

• Construction experience with a focus on insulation installation
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
• Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocol adherence is highly valued

Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
