Industrial Maintenance Technician- Afternoon shift

About the role

Godfrey Hirst NZ Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Manukau, Auckland. This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, 3:30pm to midnight where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the machinery and equipment essential to our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs, and installations
• Collaborating with production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
• Supporting the continuous improvement of our maintenance processes

What we're looking for

• Formal training or qualifications in industrial maintenance or a related engineering discipline
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Excellent mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
