Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems utilizing tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low-voltage systems, and high-voltage equipment to ensure seamless production flow.
• Conduct welding tasks, including stick welding as needed for equipment repair or fabrication projects.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
• Assist with field service activities requiring the use of scissor lifts or other aerial work platforms to access elevated machinery or infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting pneumatic systems, hydraulic circuits, and electrical blueprints to resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Support safety initiatives by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and maintaining compliance with industry standards for electrical and mechanical safety.

Skills

• Extensive experience in manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage circuits.
• Skilled in mechanical repair techniques with knowledge of industrial mechanics and equipment troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, including HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately for effective diagnostics.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
• Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematic interpretation tools.
• Valid certification or experience operating scissor lifts, along with knowledge of OSHA safety standards for aerial work platforms.
• Strong customer service orientation combined with excellent analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
• Experience in welding (stick welding), hydraulic system maintenance, pneumatic system troubleshooting, and electrical blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of industrial electrician practices, including electrical maintenance procedures involving high-voltage systems.
