Industrial Maintenance Technician

First Shift, Monday through Friday Repair or replace plant equipment or systems on a scheduled or emergency basis. Perform preventative maintenance activities as required. Communicate directly with Production / Engineering / Tool Room departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work. Assist with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues. Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs. Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.

• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
• Disassemble industrial machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
• Examine equipment for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
• Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Read and understand blueprints and/or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
• Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Ability to communicate ideas to others for machining or designing.
• Able to use computer software, e-mail, spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to mechanical maintenance and repair work, including, lockout procedures and MSDS.
• Ability to weld a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, compressors).
• Preferred: HS diploma/GED equivalent.
• Preferred: Mechanical or Manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: Knowledge of PLC Programming

Summary

• As an Industrial Maintenance Technician (First Shift), you will ensure reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment, performing proactive maintenance, diagnostics, and quick repairs to minimize downtime. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will apply expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, PM programs, and PLCs to support production goals. Your role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, leveraging CMMS for work orders and documentation. Strong troubleshooting, instrumentation, and field service capabilities will help sustain optimal facility performance in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
