Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for mold and tooling changes, machine setup adjustments, troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and supporting efficient and safe molding operations.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn and grow within an injection molding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, start up, and troubleshoot jobs within the molding department.
• Perform mold and material changes as directed by the supervisor.
• Make setup adjustments on injection molding machines.
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery and auxiliary equipment as needed.
• Diagnose and repair minor maintenance issues on molding machines and related equipment.
• Support process improvements and cycle time optimization initiatives.
• Maintain departmental equipment to promote safe and efficient operation.
• Verify machine processes daily to ensure consistent product quality.
• Perform inspections and measurements to ensure parts meet quality requirements.
• Operate a forklift safely and follow all applicable safety procedures.
• Maintain 5S standards throughout the work area.
• Support SMED processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with machine operators, the Quality team, and the Molding Supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Support the overall success of the molding team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment with moving mechanical parts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Organized, dependable, and willing to learn new processes and equipment.
• Ability to adapt to changing production needs.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a production environment and follow established safety procedures.
• Forklift operating experience is preferred.
