About the Opportunity
Our client is a large, wellestablished FMCG group in Madagascar. As it expands its industrial operations, it is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for its soap manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on soap production lines: saponification units, mixers, extruders, stampers/cutters and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic failures on production and utility equipment (boilers, compressors, conveyors).
• Keep equipment available, reliable and hygienecompliant.
• Monitor equipment performance and anticipate breakdowns to minimise unplanned stoppages.
• Help set up and run a preventive maintenance programme: spare parts, schedules and equipment history.
• Drive continuous improvement to raise line efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Document and report all interventions, spare parts use and equipment condition.
• Work closely with the Production and Quality teams.
• Follow safety, hygiene and maintenance procedures in line with food and cosmeticgrade standards.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance, ideally in a soap, detergent, cosmetics, chemical or food processing plant.
• Solid practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems on continuous production lines.
• Experience troubleshooting saponification, mixing, extrusion, stamping/cutting and packaging equipment is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with hygiene and safety standards in chemical, food or cosmeticgrade plants.
• Able to work independently, manage sparepart constraints and solve problems with limited local sourcing.
• Able to train and supervise local technical staff.
• English communication is mandatory. French is an advantage.
• Willing to relocate to Madagascar.
