Industrial Maintenance Technology Instructor

Job Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technology Instructor position is essential for ensuring a quality educational program providing instruction in Industrial Electrical Maintenance and Instrumentation and Managing Electrical Hazards. The instructional program also includes training in mechanical maintenance, programmable logic controllers, basic controls, solar and wind training, and an introduction to mechanical drive systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance. This role requires a teamwork approach with co-instructors and a commitment to maintaining safety standards while providing a quality educational experience for adult students.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they become critical.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement instructional schedules.
• Assist in the delivery of program curriculum for adult education program related to electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Provide classroom instruction as needed, utilizing teaching skills and related experience to enhance learning experiences.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standards, ensuring a safe educational environment for all students.
• Engage students in hands-on learning activities as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance roles with a focus on electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Ability to deliver curriculum and provide effective adult education instruction.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time
