Industrial Powder Coating Technician — Spring Lake, MI

Step into a fast-moving production environment on our 2nd or 3rd shift and take ownership of the final finish. As a key member of our team, you’ll apply durable, high-quality powder coatings to a variety of parts and assemblies, ensuring every product that leaves our line looks great and performs even better.

A day in this role

• Prep components with careful cleaning, sanding, and precise masking to ensure flawless edges and adhesion.
• Set up and operate electrostatic powder coating equipment, dialing in spray patterns and flow to achieve consistent coverage.
• Oversee curing cycles, verifying oven settings and times to deliver the correct film build and finish.
• Inspect parts post-cure, identifying and addressing defects to meet strict quality standards.
• Maintain an orderly, safe booth and work area while following all safety protocols.
• Partner with teammates to streamline processes and drive efficiency increases.
• Assist with troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in powder coating/finishing is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in powder coating or a related finishing trade preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a production team.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and embrace evolving technologies.
• Physical capability to lift and move materials as production requires.
