Job Overview – Supervisor / Superintendent
BRANVIC LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor / Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for industrial construction and mechanical projects in the Austin, TX area. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on construction knowledge who understands how to run a construction site day-to-day, not simply coordinate from an office.
The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of ducting, piping, mechanical installation, and general construction, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, layouts, and project specifications. Experience with ductwork, piping systems, HVAC, equipment installation, mechanical supports, fabrication, and general industrial construction is strongly preferred.
This position requires someone who can independently assess what needs to be done, coordinate crews and resources, address field issues, and keep work moving safely and efficiently. The Supervisor / Superintendent will work closely with BRANVIC project management, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to coordinate current projects and support future industrial construction work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily field operations, crews, subcontractors, and project activities.
- Plan and sequence daily work to maintain project schedules and productivity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, layouts, and project specifications.
- Oversee installation and construction activities involving ducting, piping, mechanical systems, HVAC, equipment, supports, and general construction.
- Coordinate work between multiple trades and disciplines on active job sites.
- Verify field conditions and ensure work is installed according to drawings and project requirements.
- Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, rentals, and manpower needed for daily operations.
- Monitor workmanship, installation quality, and project progress.
- Oversee fabrication and installation activities, including piping, ducting, supports, assemblies, and related mechanical work.
- Identify field issues and troubleshoot installation problems while working to minimize delays.
- Direct crews and ensure workers understand the planned scope and expectations for each day.
- Communicate with project management regarding daily progress, schedule, manpower, material needs, and field issues.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, customers, and other trades to support project execution.
- Conduct or support toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and other required safety activities.
- Enforce OSHA, customer, and BRANVIC safety requirements on site.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Complete daily reports, work logs, progress updates, and other required project documentation.
- Track completed work, remaining work, and upcoming project needs.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and deficiency corrections as required.
- Participate in customer walkthroughs, coordination meetings, and project turnover activities.
- Assist with project mobilization, startup, and closeout.
- Support BRANVIC operations on current and future industrial construction projects.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision, field supervision, or superintendent-level work.
- Proven experience supervising construction or industrial field operations.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of ducting, piping, mechanical installation, and general construction.
- Experience with ductwork, piping systems, HVAC, equipment installation, mechanical supports, and fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of everyday construction site operations, including planning, sequencing, coordination, and field execution.
- Experience supervising and coordinating field crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to independently assess daily work requirements and keep crews productive.
- Ability to identify field conflicts, troubleshoot installation issues, and develop practical solutions.
- Familiarity with pipe welding, metal fabrication, rigging, and layout techniques preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and disciplines on active job sites.
- Experience with field service, job site coordination, and client-facing project delivery preferred.
- Commitment to safety, quality control, and continuous operational improvement.
- OSHA 30 preferred. OSHA 10 is the minimum requirement.
- Machinery and equipment certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to work in the field and travel to project locations as required.
