Industry Training & Development Manager

Help people build careers in the infrastructure sector. In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll work with employers and trainees to support apprenticeships, qualifications and workforce development across your territory.

We’re looking for someone based in Auckland who is comfortable travelling through South Auckland and Papakura, and as far south as Huntly.

What you’ll do

• Work with employers to understand their workforce and training needs
• Support trainees and apprentices as they work towards nationally recognised qualifications
• Promote training programmes and identify opportunities to grow participation
• Build strong, lasting relationships with employers, trainees and industry stakeholders
• Plan your visits, manage your territory and keep accurate CRM records
• Represent the organisation at industry meetings and events

What you’ll bring

• At least three years’ experience in sales, account management or a similar relationship-focused role
• Confidence working with people in the infrastructure sector
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in helping people develop their skills and careers
• Good computer skills and a full, clean NZ driver’s licence

Knowledge of NZQA qualifications or experience in education and training would be an advantage. You’ll also need to be comfortable attending occasional meetings or events outside standard working hours.
