Infant Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment tailored to infants’ developmental needs. Duties

• Assist with daily care routines including feeding, diapering, and soothing infants to ensure their comfort and safety
• Support classroom activities that promote infant development, such as tummy time, sensory play, and language exposure
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR standards
• Observe and document infants’ milestones and behaviors to inform individualized care plans
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily activities to foster strong relationships
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
• Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play

Experience

• Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare center or childcare setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to provide nurturing care through babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles involving young children
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for infants and toddlers
• Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and child safety procedures is desirable
• Previous experience communicating effectively with parents and team members in a childcare environment

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
