Infant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote infant development, including motor skills, language acquisition, and social-emotional growth
• Ensure the safety and well-being of infants through vigilant supervision and adherence to health and safety protocols
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and procedures to ensure compliance with child protection regulations
• Administer first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, demonstrating quick response skills in emergency situations
• Collaborate with team members to manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management strategies effectively

Experience

• Prior experience working with infants in a daycare center or preschool setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care best practices
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Classroom management skills tailored to early childhood environments
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is required or obtainable upon hire
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols is essential
