Infant Teacher

Mountain View Montessori is building our team!!! Ideal applicants should be Early Childhood qualified/certified, motivated, team-oriented, and able to work in a professional early childhood environment. An Infant Teacher will care for children aged 8 weeks through 2 years in a Montessori setting contributing to the healthy mental, emotional, social, and physical development, of the child while also meeting and exceeding routine care.

Responsibilities

• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to care and teach children
• Organize nap, eating, and play times
• Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Communicate with parents daily
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with education, health, and safety standards

Skills

• PREFER:
• Experience/Education as an Infant Teacher
• Certification in infant/child CPR
• Certification in SIDS
• Certification in Abusive Head Trauma (previously SBS)
• Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
• MUSTS:
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• Able to work in and maintain a professional work environment

Other

• Must be available: Monday-Friday within the hours of 6:30 am - 5:30 pm
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience and Education is preferred, but training is available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
