Infant Teacher

Job Summary

As an Infant Teacher, you’ll create a safe, nurturing classroom where infants can explore, build relationships, and develop at their own pace. You’ll plan age-appropriate activities, provide attentive infant care, and partner with families to support each child’s well-being and early learning.

Duties

• Supervise infants closely and provide responsive care, including feeding, diapering, rest routines, and comfort.
• Plan and lead child development instruction that supports early communication, movement, social skills, and childhood development.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom; use positive classroom and behavior management practices.
• Communicate with parents about children’s routines, progress, and needs.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including applicable mandated reporting laws.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in childcare, infant care, or toddler care; preschool, daycare, daycare center, classroom, or nannying and babysitting experience is relevant.
• Teaching experience with young children, early childhood education, teaching, or working with students is valued.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and pediatric first aid is preferred.
• Special education knowledge or experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Strong child supervision and parent communication skills; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is an asset.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
