Infection Control Nurse

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid nursing registration. Infection control experience is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor hand hygiene practices among hospital staff.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and infection control precautions.
• Conduct regular infection control rounds and audits.
• Monitor biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
• Monitor cleaning, disinfection and sterilization practices.
• Maintain records of hospital-acquired infections.
• Report infection control problems to the Infection Control Officer.
• Conduct infection control training for hospital staff.
• Monitor needle-stick injuries and ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain infection control registers and reports.
• Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings.
• Ensure compliance with hospital infection control policies and applicable NABH standards.
