Informatica Developer

We are seeking a highly technical Informatica Data Governance Platform Engineer to design, administer, extend, and support enterprise data governance capabilities using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). This role will serve as a technical subject matter expert for Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), Metadata Command Center (MCC), Cloud Data Profiling (CDP), Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), API Center, and IDMC Administration Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for metadata engineering, governance automation, custom metadata onboarding, custom catalog source development, data quality implementation, API governance, and the ongoing evolution of the enterprise data governance ecosystem. This includes designing scalable metadata models, automating governance processes, and integrating non-standard data sources into the enterprise metadata landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Informatica Platform Administration

• Administer and support Informatica IDMC services including CDGC, MCC, CDP, CDQ, API Center, Administrator, and related cloud services.

• Design and maintain enterprise governance platform architecture, security model, and operational standards.

• Configure and manage:

• User roles and access controls

• Runtime environments

• Secure agents

• Connectivity frameworks

• Organization-level settings

• Access policies

• Troubleshoot platform performance, metadata ingestion failures, scanner errors, security issues, and service integrations.

• Support platform upgrades, feature releases, and governance roadmap initiatives.

• Design & Implement governance platform standards, deployment procedures, and technical best practices.

Metadata Command Center (MCC) Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain metadata ingestion frameworks across enterprise data platforms.

• Develop and support:

• Catalog Sources

• Connector configurations

• Metadata extraction workflows

• Lineage acquisition solutions

• Data Classifications development

• Configure and manage metadata ingestion from:

• Databases

• Data warehouses

• Data lakes

• ETL platforms

• API-based systems

• Cloud applications

• Troubleshoot metadata extraction and scanner execution issues.

• Optimize scan performance and metadata quality.

Custom Catalog Source Development

• Design and implement custom catalog sources for technologies not supported by Informatica out-of-the-box.

• Develop custom metadata acquisition solutions utilizing:

• Metadata APIs

• REST services

• SDKs

• External repositories

• Custom ingestion frameworks

• Create automated metadata extraction processes from proprietary or internally developed applications.

• Develop ingestion pipelines to populate technical metadata, lineage metadata, ownership information, classifications, and business context.

Custom Metadata Model Design

• Design and implement custom metadata models to extend standard CDGC capabilities.

• Create and maintain:

• Custom asset types

• Custom attributes

• Custom relationships

• Custom stakeholder assignments

• Custom workflows

• Define enterprise metadata standards and governance taxonomies.

• Design metadata structures supporting:

• Data Products

• Business Capabilities

• Application Portfolios

• Regulatory Requirements

• Operational Controls

• Implement metadata governance strategies to support business and technical metadata alignment.

Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC)

• Configure and enhance governance asset frameworks including:

• Business Terms

• Policies

• Processes

• Systems

• Develop governance workflows and approval processes.

• Implement relationship models between business and technical assets.

• Configure stakeholder management and stewardship processes.

• Support data lineage, glossary association, classification, certification, and governance reporting capabilities.

Cloud Data Profiling (CDP)

• Design enterprise data profiling strategies.

• Configure profiling jobs and scorecards.

• Develop automated profiling frameworks for newly onboarded data assets.

• Analyze profiling results to identify:

• Data quality issues

• Anomalies

• Compliance concerns

• Governance opportunities

• Support profiling metric standardization across business domains.

Cloud Data Quality (CDQ)

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data quality solutions.

• Create:

• Rule Specifications

• Business Rules

• Rule Templates

• Rule Occurrences

• Data Quality Dashboards

• Data Quality Scorecards

• Configure automated monitoring and remediation processes.

• Integrate data quality results into governance workflows and executive reporting.

• Support data quality rule deployment and operationalization across multiple domains.

API Center & Integration Engineering

• Administer API Center and API governance frameworks.

• Configure and manage:

• API publication

• Access controls

• API security policies

• Subscription management

• API monitoring

• Develop integrations leveraging:

• REST APIs

• Informatica APIs

• GraphQL services

• Enterprise integration platforms

• Build governance automation using Informatica APIs and metadata services.

Technical Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of enterprise Data Governance or Metadata Management experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on Informatica IDMC experience.

• Strong expertise with:

• Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC)

• Metadata Command Center (MCC)

• Cloud Data Profiling (CDP)

• Cloud Data Quality (CDQ)

• Administrator Services

• API Center

• Experience developing custom metadata ingestion frameworks.

• Experience designing custom catalog sources.

• Experience creating and extending custom metadata models.

• Strong understanding of:

Preferred

• Informatica Professional or Expert Certifications.

• Experience developing custom scanners, metadata collectors, and governance automations in Informatica.

Familiarity with Informatica Data Marketplace (CDMP) and data product operating models.
