Information Security Analyst Principal

For our client, we are seeking a Information Security Analyst Principal to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will provide senior-level security support across government information systems, with a strong focus on safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.

You will help shape security infrastructure, assess the impact of system and development changes, and guide mitigation efforts for identified risks and vulnerabilities.

The position also partners with technical teams to strengthen procedures, documentation, and operational security practices in a remote environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,500 – $149,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Provide security support for government information systems
• Facilitate the design and implementation of security infrastructure
• Analyze information systems for security functionality
• Conduct security impact assessments for development changes
• Assist in implementing mitigating controls for security issues
• Guide the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and security documentation
• Manage responses to security vulnerabilities related to government systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in IT Security
• CISSP or equivalent security certification required
• Bachelor's degree in IT Security, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
• Expert knowledge of data security administration principles
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodology and federal security policies
