Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH is a development and manufacturing facility for power transistors (power MOSFETs) with over 550 employees. Vishay is investing in a new semiconductor chip factory in Itzehoe, thereby expanding its production capacity in the future.

What you will be doing:

• Technical support for the MES (Manufacutring Execution Software)
• Responsibility for user management
• Assistance with system implementation and configuration
• Performing MES updates and patches in collaboration with the MES vendor
• Performing updates and patches for the underlying operating system (RHEL)
• Performing updates and patches for the MES databases Oracle RAC and MS SQL Server

What you will bring along:

• A successfully completed degree in computer science or vocational training as an IT specialist
• Expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); experience with AMAT 300works is a plus
• Experience in technical support, ideally in the manufacturing industry
• Experience in the operation, maintenance, and expansion of distributed application environments
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system, preferably RHEL
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic programming skills that may be required for the MES
• Knowledge of databases for performing maintenance tasks, preferably Oracle and MS SQL Server
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is desirable
• Good written and spoken German and English skills (at least level B1 or higher)
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including outside regular working hours and on weekends, only in exceptional cases for specific tasks
• Willingness to be on call in the event of a production outage (the fab operates 24/7)
