Information Technology Assistant

About the role

The Help Desk and Technical Support role serves as the first point of contact for employees needing assistance with their computers, software, or network access. It involves responding to support requests, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and assisting with hardware and software setups. The role is hands-on, focused on learning internal systems and processes while building a solid foundation in customer service and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to basic IT support requests via call, email, or ticketing system
• Assist with login issues and user queries
• Log, update, and close support tickets accurately
• Escalate unresolved cases to senior support
• Assist in workstation setup (PCs, printers, phones)
• Help diagnose and report faulty hardware
• Install and configure common applications
• Update existing software
• Communicate clearly with users
• Follow up on pending tickets

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
• Open to new graduates; no prior work experience required
• Prior experience, Internship or OJT in IT support is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
• Exposure to troubleshooting scenarios through academic labs or bootcamps
• Optional but preferred, CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals or similar
