Job Overview

This individual will help employees with issues on their individual systems, as well as troubleshoot companywide issues. Experience in both PCs and Macs is required, and experience in networking is an advantage. This position has the potential to be either part time (at least 25 hours per week) or full time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose software and hardware problems and quickly resolve issues, whether PC or Mac.
• Prioritize issues that are logged and process through those in order of importance.
• Update systems with the latest patches and security updates.
• Resolve printing issues.
• Troubleshoot networking and downtime issues.
• Isolate performance issues to determine root causes for resolution.
• Communicate work accomplished and escalate any issues that cannot be quickly resolved.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to independently solve varying tech support issues and research complex ones as needed.
• A deep understanding of both Mac and PC hardware and operating systems.
• At least two years of related experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Preferred: Familiarity with networking infrastructure, printers, Microsoft software, VPN software, Dynamics NAV, security, servers, remote desktop support, and SQL support.
