Information Technology Infrastructure

An Information Technology Infrastructure role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s networks, servers, hardware, and other IT systems to ensure reliable and secure operations. The role focuses on system monitoring, technical troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance and upgrades, cybersecurity, and backup and recovery. This role works closely with internal teams and service providers to resolve technical issues, minimize downtime, and maintain the stability, performance, and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Network Management: Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet connections.
• Server Management: Managing and maintain physical and virtual servers to ensure high availability and performance.
• Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot computers, operating systems, and other IT equipment.
• Technical Support: Coordinate with other IT teams, departments, and service providers to address infrastructure issues and maintain smooth operations.
• System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor IT infrastructure performance, perform routine maintenance, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Cybersecurity and Access Control: Implement security measures, manage user access, and help protect company systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Backup and Recovery: Perform regular data backups and assist in restoring systems and files in case of data loss or system failure.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related problems involving networks, servers, connectivity, and system performance.
• IT Asset Management: Maintain records of IT equipment, software licenses, hardware inventory, and infrastructure configurations.
• Infrastructure Installation and Upgrades: Assist in deploying, configuring, and upgrading IT systems, network devices, and other infrastructure components.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, record incidents, and report system performance, maintenance activities, and resolved issues.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Engineering, or relevant technical field.
• Verifiable IT Service Management (ITSM) certifications (ITIL v4 Foundation or higher).

Work Experience

• IT infrastructure experience of at least 3 years.
