IT Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Quezon City, Philippines

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (Work from Home – 2 Days / Week)

Starting date: As soon as possible

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Security Manager in headquarter in Switzerland will have the following responsibilities:

• Install and maintain server, network, storage systems, backups systems and cloud services (on-prem / SaaS / IaaS).
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage system performance to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Ensure onsite and offsite technical support to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Provide appropriate support (level 1, 2 and 3) on a daily basis and act as a remediation escalation for the IT Helpdesk.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet the technological needs of the organisation.
• Document procedures and configurations to ensure effective maintenance.
• Contribute to the technical training of the IT team as well as of all other organisation’s members.
• Implement security measures to protect the organisation’s data and systems.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
• Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, including migrations, deployments, and improvements.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure initiatives align with business objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in IT infrastructure.
• Recommend and implement innovative technological solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
• Perform any other related tasks as required by the supervisor.
• Support IT administrative tasks in coordination with the supervisor and the other IT team members.

Qualifications and Experience :

The relevant candidate should have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar job (with a minimum of 3 years’ supporting and troubleshooting hardware & software problems in a Microsoft / AD based environment).
• Strong technical skills in networks, operating systems (Microsoft, Linux and iOS), servers and storage solutions.
• Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, and Python) for automation and system administration.
• Experience in managing IT systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting ability with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Exchange Online.
• Solid expertise in deploying and maintaining open-source solutions (Linux distributions, databases, virtualization tools, web servers, etc.).
• Knowledge of backup procedures and solutions as well as opens source technology.
• Ability to support and resolve a wide range of daily technical issues; eagerness to investigate and learn new technologies.
• Understanding of security management in an IT environment.
• Excellent communication and understanding of users’ perspectives in a multi-national environment.
• Initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Dependable and reliable with improvement focus.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work off-hours as needed for IT projects.
• Interest in keeping up to date with the latest technology innovation.
• Fluency in English; French speaking a plus.
