Information Technology Manager

Mantell Associates is partnered with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation looking to appoint an IT Manager to take ownership of IT operations at its Massachusetts site.

This is a hands-on role for an IT technical generalist who enjoys being involved in day-to-day support while leading site IT operations, managing vendors and improving service delivery. You'll work closely with manufacturing teams and wider corporate IT to ensure the site has reliable, secure and compliant technology.

IT Manager - Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of day-to-day IT operations and provide hands-on technical support across the site
• Manage and maintain endpoints, including PCs, laptops, tablets, kiosks, printers and other user-facing equipment
• Build and develop the site's IT service management centre, supporting both internal employees and external visitors
• Lead local IT support activities, managing service requests, incidents, escalations and continuous improvement
• Support site infrastructure, networking, user access, Microsoft 365 and endpoint management
• Manage IT vendors and external support partners, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
• Maintain IT procedures, documentation and security controls in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and corporate IT to ensure technology supports site operations and compliance

IT Manager - Requirements :

• Experience in an IT Manager, Site IT Lead, IT Support Manager or similar hands-on technical role
• Strong experience managing endpoints, including PCs, tablets, kiosks and other hardware
• Previous site-based IT experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech or a CDMO
• A broad technical background across end-user support, hardware, networking, infrastructure and systems administration
• Experience managing IT service delivery, vendors and support processes
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments, IT compliance and controlled procedures
• A practical, approachable problem-solver who can take ownership, support users directly and lead improvements across the site
