As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Project Engineer to help deliver exceptional IT projects for our customers.
At NCS IT, you'll work alongside a friendly and experienced team, gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, and have opportunities to develop your skills and career.
Whether it's Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, cybersecurity, or infrastructure projects, you'll be at the heart of helping our customers succeed.
Company Description NCS IT Ltd, founded in 1994 and based in Rossendale, Lancashire, delivers business IT solutions to SME and Enterprise clients across the UK. The company is trusted by many well-known businesses for long-term support, strategic advice, and consultancy. NCS partners with leading vendors such as Microsoft, HP, Dell, VMware, Sophos, and Veeam to provide reliable, secure, and robust technology solutions. The organization maintains key accreditations including Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Microsoft Cloud Specialist, Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO27001. Core services span digital transformation, cloud technologies, managed services, cyber security consultancy, infrastructure solutions, disaster recovery, and network cabling and repair.
Role Description The Information Technology Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bury, responsible for delivering and supporting IT projects for business clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing infrastructure solutions, configuring servers, networks, and cloud platforms, and ensuring secure, reliable operation of customer environments. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing hands-on technical support, and collaborating with the helpdesk team for escalations and complex troubleshooting. The Project Engineer will manage project tasks, maintain documentation, and communicate clearly with clients regarding progress, risks, and timelines. The position also requires contributing to continuous improvement of deployment processes, adhering to security and compliance standards, and occasionally assisting with installation of hardware, software, and network equipment on client sites.
