Information Technology Security Analyst

Summary

This position is responsible for collaborating with various SUSS teams to actively monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents for the entire Southern Ute Indian Tribal organization under the guidance of senior team members. Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, contributing to incident response activities and ensuring the organization's security posture aligns with industry standards and best practices. Conduct proactive threat hunting. Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Third-Party Risk Management activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Cyber Security, or a related field and two years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration ; OR one year of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration and a relevant cyber security certification or hands-on experience functioning in a relevant cyber security role;

OR

• An Associate’s degree Computer Science, MIS, Cyber Security, or a related field and four years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration ; OR three years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration and a relevant cyber security certification or hands-on experience functioning in a relevant cyber security role;

OR

• A High School diploma and seven years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration ;

OR

• six years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration and a relevant cyber security certification or hands-on experience functioning in a relevant cyber security role; is required.
