IT Specialist – Security Operations Center (SOC)

About the Role

As an IT Specialist – IT Security , you will manage day-to-day IT security operations, including security incident monitoring, investigation, response, and remediation support.

You will work closely with technical and operational stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for assigned security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and handle daily security incidents.
• Serve as SPOC for assigned IT security incidents.
• Evaluate technical threats, vulnerabilities, and security risks.
• Escalate security threats and incidents following established procedures.
• Support security incident reporting, documentation, and case management.
• Work hands-on with SIEM, EDR, Email Security, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Management, and SOAR platforms.
• Develop and maintain security monitoring and detection use cases within SIEM and related platforms.
• Support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of security systems.
• Act as an SME for assigned security tools, technologies, or security domains.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to Junior Specialists and team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security processes, procedures, activities, and technical knowledge.
• Support initiatives that improve SOC capabilities, processes, and services.
• Handle high-priority and critical security incidents with professionalism and accountability.

Must-Have Qualifications

• University degree in IT or relevant IT-related education/courses.
• At least 3 years of IT security-related work experience.
• hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, Email Security, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Management, and SOAR platforms.
• Strong foundation in security concepts such as: Network Security, Endpoint Security, Email Security, Cloud Security, MITRE ATT&CK, Adversary TTPs, Vulnerability Management
• Ability to investigate, assess, escalate, and document security incidents.

Good-to-Have

• Experience developing or maintaining SIEM monitoring and detection use cases.
• Experience supporting the administration and continuous improvement of security platforms.
• SME-level expertise in at least one security tool, technology, or domain.
• Experience providing technical guidance or knowledge sharing to junior team members.
• Relevant IT Security certifications.
