INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Job Summary

The Information Technology Software Developer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the company’s IT systems, network, and internal tools. This role ensures smooth operations across all departments by troubleshooting technical issues, administering systems, assisting in workflow automation, and supporting digital initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure Support

• Monitor and maintain computers, servers, networking devices, and software applications to ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize disruption to daily operations.
• Ensure uninterrupted access to critical systems for all departments and remote employees.
• Proactively identify potential technical issues and recommend preventive measures.

2. System Administration & Maintenance

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to maintain secure and efficient system use.
• Keep software, databases, and internal tools updated and properly configured.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all system changes, updates, and configurations.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed.

3. Development & Process Automation Support

• Collaborate with departments to identify workflow inefficiencies and implement technical solutions or automation tools.
• Test new software integrations and internal tool updates for proper functionality.
• Assist staff with technical guidance during system rollouts and tool adoption.
• Document improvements and provide suggestions for ongoing process optimization.

4. Cybersecurity & Data Protection

• Monitor and enforce IT security protocols including antivirus updates, patch management, and access controls.
• Ensure sensitive company and customer data is secure and protected.
• Respond promptly to any security incidents and escalate when necessary.
• Conduct periodic checks and audits to ensure compliance with company security policies.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain logs for system issues, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare accurate IT reports for management and update manuals, SOPs, and user guides.
• Track technical support requests and resolution timelines for accountability.
• Ensure documentation is clear, accessible, and up-to-date for all stakeholders.

6. Vendor & External Coordination

• Coordinate with service providers for hardware, software, internet, and maintenance support.
• Evaluate potential IT tools, software, or vendors in consultation with management.
• Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure vendors meet expected standards.
• Report vendor performance and recommend changes or improvements when necessary.

7. Other Technical Support Tasks

• Provide support to employees with IT queries, troubleshooting, and software guidance.
• Assist with digital initiatives, e-commerce platform integrations, and internal tool improvements.
• Train or guide staff on technical tools or processes as needed.
• Participate in IT-related projects or tasks assigned by the supervisor or department head.
