Hays Technology is partnering with a well-established Managed Services Provider that has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional IT support and solutions to a diverse client base across Western Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Level 2 Engineer to join their close-knit technical team.

The Role

As a Level 2 Engineer, you'll provide technical support across a broad range of client environments while working closely with senior engineers on infrastructure, cloud and security initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing Level 2 support via phone, remote access, email and occasional onsite visits.
• Troubleshooting and resolving escalated Microsoft infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
• Supporting and administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID and Windows Server environments.
• Managing and supporting networking infrastructure including switches, routers and firewalls.
• Assisting with backup, disaster recovery and virtualisation platforms.
• Participating in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and project delivery.
• Responding to security alerts and assisting with cybersecurity implementations.
• Building strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
• Documenting solutions and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this position, you'll have a solid technical foundation, excellent troubleshooting skills and a genuine passion for technology.

You'll ideally bring:

• 2+ years' experience in an IT Support, Systems Administrator or MSP environment.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft technologies, including:
• Microsoft 365
• Windows Server
• Active Directory
• Azure / Entra ID
• Exchange Online
• Intune
• Exposure to networking technologies, firewalls and security best practices.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience with RMM and PSA tools will be highly regarded.
