Information Technology Support Engineer

The Role

You’ll join the customer support and infrastructure team, providing remote and onsite technical support, delivering infrastructure projects, and keeping customer IT environments secure and reliable. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, working directly with customers and supporting a wide range of technologies.

Responsibilities

• Remote and onsite support for customer infrastructure, networks, servers and Microsoft 365 environments
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues, owning them through to completion
• Installing, configuring and maintaining servers, virtual environments and networking equipment
• Supporting backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
• Monitoring systems, carrying out proactive maintenance and implementing improvements
• Assisting with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and customer projects
• Keeping technical documentation and customer records accurate
• Applying security best practice: patching, access controls, MFA and endpoint protection

Essential

• 2+ years in an ICT support, infrastructure or engineering role
• Strong Windows Desktop and Windows Server knowledge
• Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online administration
• Solid networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs
• Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
• Familiarity with virtualisation and backup technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills
• Full clean driving licence
