Information Technology Support Engineer - SC

We're working with a growing technology organisation operating within highly secure and complex environments who are looking to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their IT team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting critical infrastructure and contributing to projects that genuinely impact the wider business.

You'll be responsible for providing advanced technical support across systems, networks and end-user environments, while also working on infrastructure improvement and technology deployment projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues.
• Supporting Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Administering virtualised infrastructure using VMware and Hyper-V.
• Managing incidents through IT Service Management platforms.
• Supporting Cisco, Juniper, Dell and HP networking technologies.
• Automating tasks using PowerShell, Python or Ansible where appropriate.
• Contributing to infrastructure and systems projects.
• Building strong relationships with users and stakeholders.
• Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience within an IT Support, Infrastructure Support or Systems Administration role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience supporting Microsoft environments.
• Exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Networking knowledge across Cisco, Juniper, HP or Dell technologies.
• Experience using Jira Service Desk, HP Service Manager or similar ITSM tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
