Location: South Dublin (Hybrid, 3 days a week, with client site visits as required)

Salary: €45,000+ depending on experience

The opportunity

A dynamic, growing managed service provider (MSP) in South Dublin is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join its team. The business delivers cloud, networking, cyber security and infrastructure services to small and medium-sized businesses across a range of industries, and is expanding its service portfolio and taking on new clients.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You'll be a first point of contact and a main point of escalation for customers, working on real projects as well as day-to-day support.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for client technical queries and issues, remotely and on site
• Review the service request queue, deciding what to escalate and what to close, and making sure requests are answered quickly and correctly
• Maintain and improve internal and client infrastructure, including Azure, Microsoft 365, networking and security
• Deliver cloud migrations from on-premises to the cloud
• Build Azure environments, including virtual servers, Site-to-Site VPNs, Azure SQL databases and Entra ID
• Roll out Microsoft Intune (MDM)
• Build SharePoint sites and advise end users on best practice
• Deploy Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365
• Install and manage SonicWALL firewalls, Site-to-Site and Client-to-Site VPNs, and SonicWave wireless access points
• Oversee firewall and VPN configurations to keep client connectivity secure and optimised
• Manage and renew warranties on critical client IT components
• Provide technical advice and mentoring to clients where required

About you:

Essential

• 3+ years' experience in a managed service provider environment
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Windows Server, Windows 10/11 deskside support, SonicWALL firewalls and networking
• Experience setting up security using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365 and Intune
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisation and prioritisation, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• A methodical approach to fault finding and follow-up, able to explain issues in plain language to non-technical users
• Full clean class B driving license and access to a car
