About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on and technically curious IT Support Specialist to provide responsive day-to-day technology support to employees across HaFSBX. This position will serve as an additional contact for common hardware, software, account-access, connectivity, and workplace-technology issues. The specialist will also assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, computer deployment, software licensing, equipment inventory, technical documentation, and the initial troubleshooting of network and system issues.

We are looking for somebody who can work closely with members across HaFSBX, providing quality service and communication. This position is designed for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in IT support while developing practical experience in networking, Microsoft 365 administration, server support, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Help Desk & General IT Support

• Assist with day-to-day technical issues: computers, phones, printers, etc.
• Set up and troubleshoot hardware and software for new and existing employees.
• Manage software licenses and user access for various systems.
• Support remote employees with networking issues (local and remote)

Cybersecurity

• Assist in the training of employees on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures around security.
• Act as an additional contact for cybersecurity matters with our external IT firm.

Server & Systems Maintenance

• Monitor server health and manage user access as needed.
• Coordinate with external IT firm for backups, updates, or more complex server issues.
• Ensure accessibility and uptime for critical systems and files.

Office Technology Support

• Help set up and maintain conference room tech, TVs, cameras, etc.
• Assist with IT aspects of company events or meetings.

What We're Looking For:

• Entry-level IT experience (internships, personal projects, or help desk experience all welcome)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical coworkers
• A team player who can work independently when needed
• Knowledge about networking and familiarity with DevOps
• Interest in learning more about cybersecurity and IT infrastructure
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure) would be welcomed
