Job Description

Throne Solutions is looking for an experienced IT Support Tech to support a Probe Server Installation and Hypercare activity at a client site in Berkeley, California.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with server installation support, network connectivity, console access, cable management, and on-site IT infrastructure activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Support Probe Server Installation and related hypercare activities.

* Assist with network connectivity and console access using serial and USB console cables.

* Provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure equipment.

* Perform cable dressing, labelling, and cable management.

* Ensure all required tools and equipment are available and functional before arriving on-site.

* Coordinate with the remote technical team through Webex or Microsoft Teams.

* Follow site procedures and ensure the installation area is properly organized.

Mandatory Tools & Equipment

Candidates must bring the following equipment to the site:

* Windows laptop with PuTTY installed, fully charged, with charger.

* USB flash drive (8 GB or 16 GB).

* Keyboard, mouse, monitor, and HDMI cable.

* Tools kit, including an Allen key and screwdriver.

* Cable ties and Velcro tape for proper cable dressing.

* RJ45 network cable.

* Label printer with a full cartridge and 2–3 paper rolls.

* Label marker.

* Serial and USB console cables, tested before arriving on-site.

* Webex and Microsoft Teams installed on both laptop and mobile phone.

Candidate Requirements

* Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or server installation support.

* Familiarity with console connectivity, network cabling, and equipment labelling.

* Ability to work independently at the client site.

* Must have all mandatory tools and equipment available.

* Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
