Information/Patient Support

JOB OBJECTIVES:

The Health Information Management – Information Clerk is responsible for managing patient information, encoding health records, and ensuring data accuracy within the hospital system. This role plays a critical part in maintaining confidentiality, organization, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Documentation & Compliance
• Ensure accurate and timely encoding of patient health records into the hospital system.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient records in accordance with hospital policies and data privacy regulations.
• Verify and update patient information to prevent discrepancies and ensure record accuracy.
• Assist in processing and managing patient health records for hospital compliance audits and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with medical staff to resolve inconsistencies in patient documentation.
• Other Responsibilities
• Provide support and coordination with other hospital departments regarding patient information and health records.
• Respond to inquiries related to patient records, ensuring adherence to confidentiality policies.
• Assist in report generation and submission of required documentation for hospital regulatory compliance.
• Other tasks that may be assigned by the superior and/or top management from time to time.
