Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer (AI-Native)

About the role

Own our hybrid infrastructure by managing cloud-native systems like Kubernetes, CI/CD, autoscaling, and cost alongside our traditional on-prem servers, virtualization, store networks, VPNs, directory, DNS, and connectivity uptime. Secure and scale our data layer by managing relational and NoSQL databases, caching, and message queues while establishing short-lived credential models for both humans and AI agents. Protect and monitor our production systems through edge firewalls, WAF, certificate management, and comprehensive alerting—carrying on-call ownership where rapid recovery time is the ultimate scoreboard. Engineer and run the AI-ops agents that operate our infrastructure to automate incident response, transform runbooks into agents, and confidently troubleshoot older legacy enterprise stacks that nobody documented.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cloud-native systems like Kubernetes, CI/CD, autoscaling, and cost
• Manage traditional on-prem servers, virtualization, store networks, VPNs, directory, DNS, and connectivity uptime
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases, caching, and message queues
• Establish short-lived credential models for both humans and AI agents
• Protect and monitor production systems through edge firewalls, WAF, and certificate management
• Carry on-call ownership with focus on rapid recovery time
• Engineer and run AI-ops agents that operate infrastructure
• Automate incident response and transform runbooks into agents
• Troubleshoot legacy enterprise stacks

About you

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure or DevOps
• Proven history of operating real production systems
• Deep Linux, networking, and cloud fundamentals
• Ability to reason about complex systems conceptually rather than just running commands; AI-native engineer who defaults to Claude Code
• High proficiency in cloud-native architectures (containers, CI/CD)
• High proficiency in traditional on-premise hardware (VMs, networks, physical servers)
• Calm in a live incident, methodical at root cause
