Infrastructure & Security Solutions Specialist

AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. is seeking a talented Infrastructure & Security Solutions Specialist to join our growing team in Metro Manila. This plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-grade infrastructure platforms across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. As an Infrastructure & Security Solutions Specialist, you will work closely with technology teams, security stakeholders, and business leaders to deliver highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that support mission-critical banking and financial services operations. This position is essential in driving digital transformation initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability hybrid cloud environments leveraging Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Private Cloud technologies to support critical business applications.
• Engineer and manage enterprise infrastructure platforms including VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
• Architect and support secure network infrastructures including SASE, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and global connectivity solutions.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell, and automation tools to streamline provisioning and operational efficiency.
• Design and implement cybersecurity controls based on Zero Trust principles, Identity and Access Management (IAM), micro-segmentation, encryption, and privileged access management.
• Administer and enhance security technologies such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, EDR/XDR platforms, CASB, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions.
• Conduct infrastructure hardening, vulnerability assessments, remediation planning, and security posture reviews aligned with CIS Benchmarks and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Security Operations teams to ensure effective logging, monitoring, SIEM integration, threat detection, and incident response readiness.
• Perform risk assessments for infrastructure and security changes while ensuring alignment with internal governance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises to ensure platform resilience, data protection, and recovery objectives are achieved.
• Lead root cause analysis activities for critical infrastructure and security incidents and recommend long-term corrective actions.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions that support evolving business requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure Architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms.
• Proven experience managing and supporting VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, SASE, SD-WAN, and enterprise security solutions.
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, IAM, endpoint security, encryption technologies, and security governance frameworks.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation technologies including Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Bicep.
• Experience supporting enterprise monitoring, logging, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure and security challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Investment Banking, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with financial industry technologies such as SWIFT, payment systems, trading platforms, and secure financial networks.
• Experience implementing enterprise security frameworks aligned with MAS, FCA, RBI, Federal Reserve, JFSA, ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS standards.
• Exposure to cloud-native security solutions including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, AWS Security Hub, and related security tooling.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation platforms.
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Zscaler certifications are highly desirable.
