Infrastructure Architect (m/f)

We are looking for an experienced and solution-oriented Infrastructure Architect to design and develop robust database infrastructures for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop database infrastructures for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Lead infrastructure projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and ensure that data solutions support business goals.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and time-series solutions, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
• Optimize data storage solutions for performance and scalability, with a focus on time-series and event data.
• Implement data quality and validation processes and provide guidance on best practices for data management and governance.

The competencies we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in infrastructure architecture, including cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in database architecture with technologies such as MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and TimescaleDB.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work systematically in an international and multicultural environment.
