Infrastructure Engineer - Azure Virtual Desktop / End User Computing

For our client, we are seeking a Infrastructure Engineer - Azure Virtual Desktop / End User Computing to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape the organization’s end user computing environment with a focus on virtual desktop architecture, automation, and operational readiness. The engineer will partner closely with infrastructure engineering and operations teams to improve desktop virtualization delivery and support. Success in this position will help strengthen the user experience, standardize deployment practices, and create more efficient support for the company’s virtual desktop offerings.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $102,000 – $184,300 annually

Responsibilities

• Improve the overall virtual desktop experience through automation and design
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop desktop virtualization architectures
• Participate in designing and creating build kits for effective deployment
• Transition knowledge to Infrastructure Operations for ongoing support
• Establish and maintain VDI best practices and policies
• Optimize processes related to desktop virtualization offerings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in Information Technology, or 7 years with technical certification
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop environments
• Experience configuring and managing AVD components including host pools and application groups
• Strong familiarity with FSLogix and Microsoft RemoteApp/AVD RemoteApp solutions
