The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced M365 Infrastructure Engineer to support a high-profile programme of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and business integrations. This role is ideal for someone who has delivered Microsoft 365 consolidation, tenant migrations, and infrastructure integration activities as part of complex M&A environments.

You will be responsible for integrating newly acquired businesses into existing Microsoft estates, supporting separation activities during divestments, and ensuring a seamless transition of users, systems, identities, and collaboration platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Microsoft 365 integration activities during mergers and acquisitions.
• Deliver tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Manage identity consolidation using Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory and hybrid environments.
• Support carve-outs, business separations and divestiture projects.
• Design and implement Microsoft 365 infrastructure solutions across multiple acquired entities.
• Manage user onboarding, domain migrations, licensing and security configurations.
• Implement Intune, Conditional Access, MFA and device management solutions.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security and transformation teams to deliver integration milestones.
• Produce technical documentation, migration plans and operational handovers.
• Provide 3rd Line support and technical leadership throughout programme delivery.
• Travel to sites nationwide on a weekly basis.

Essential Experience

• Significant Microsoft 365 engineering experience.
• Proven delivery of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) , integrations and carve-out projects.
• Tenant-to-tenant migration expertise.
• Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration.
• Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.
• Intune, Endpoint Manager and device migrations.
• Microsoft Defender, Security & Compliance.
• DNS, domains, identity and authentication migration experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• PowerShell automation and scripting.

• Azure Infrastructure experience.
• Experience within private equity-backed organisations.
• Purview, Information Protection and DLP.
• Microsoft certifications.
• Experience supporting global business integrations.
