Infrastructure Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join an enterprise IT environment and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation, support and improvement of the organisation's infrastructure.

You will work across Windows, Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualisation and core infrastructure, while also contributing to migration, modernisation and infrastructure improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure .
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy .
• Manage and support Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Administer virtualisation platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V .
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line infrastructure support and troubleshoot complex incidents.
• Manage patching, upgrades, monitoring and system performance.
• Support Intune/SCCM and endpoint management where required.
• Work with networking and security teams on infrastructure-related issues.
• Contribute to cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation and transformation projects .
• Support backup, disaster recovery, security and business continuity activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure stability, performance and automation.
• Work closely with internal IT teams and external technology partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or IT Infrastructure Specialist .
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory .
• Good knowledge of Azure / Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V .
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, networking and infrastructure security .
• Experience with Intune, SCCM/MECM and endpoint management is a plus.
• Good troubleshooting and incident-management experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and infrastructure projects.
• PowerShell or scripting experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
