Infrastructure Engineer

THIS ROLE REQUIRES RELOCATION TO PUERTO RICO, RELOCATION SUPPORT IS PROVIDED FOR ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

Work Model: Hybrid – approximately 2 days per week onsite

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a CloudOps/DevOps team , providing hands-on operational support in a dynamic technology environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in physical infrastructure, virtualization, storage, networking, and automation , with a focus on maintaining, supporting, and optimizing lab and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure physical infrastructure and lab equipment, including rack/stack, cabling, power, and connectivity .
• Manage storage infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and operational support.
• Manage virtualization platforms and hypervisors , including health checks, daily operations, troubleshooting, and issue triage.
• Monitor and maintain compute, storage, and edge networking infrastructure to ensure availability and optimal performance.
• Execute Ansible-based automation workflows for infrastructure remediation, configuration, and recovery.
• Support and enforce network security controls and infrastructure security practices.
• Follow established runbooks, operational procedures, and security standards .
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with CloudOps, DevOps, networking, security, and engineering teams to maintain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related technical field.
• Practical experience with physical infrastructure installation, configuration, and management .
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and hypervisors .
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, and infrastructure monitoring .
• Experience with Ansible automation and scripting .
• Foundational knowledge of networking and network security practices .
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.
