Infrastructure Engineer L2

Position Title: Infra Engineer L2

Location: Nagpur

1. JOB PURPOSE

To maintain and monitor VMware vSphere, vSAN, Linux Servers, Windows Servers, SAN Storage and Data Centers to ensure achievement of SLAs.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for Servers L2 incidents and provide technical support to L1 Engineers.

KPI: Providing technical support to team through meeting SLA.

• Responsible for L2 support to Linux Servers, Windows Servers, Virtualization and Data Centers.

KPI: Maintaining all servers and data centers to achieve SLA.

• Operational Maintenance and System Upgrade:

- Fix vulnerabilities as per security guidelines

- Patch/version update/upgrade

- Configuration fine tuning

- Ensure data availability through backup and restoration activities

KPI: Fixed on time; compliance to patch policy.

3. INTERACTIONS

External: Coordinate with vendors such as HP, VMware, Dell and Hitachi for call resolution. Internal: Support and coordinate with IT teams, application and networking teams, and other departments.

B.Tech/BE

5. Certifications (Preferred):

- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

- VCP

- RHCE

6. Relevant Experience:

4-6 years relevant experience

Experience in VMware, Windows and Linux administration.
