Infrastructure Engineer Lead

Role & responsibilities :

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, with extensive hands-on experience in the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, administering, and supporting Azure cloud solutions across compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and governance services.
• Strong experience in troubleshooting complex Azure infrastructure issues and providing Level 3 (L3) technical support.

Technical Skills ?

• Hands on experience in designing things in Azure Infra from scratch.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Azure administration and support.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux).
• Expertise in Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer).
• Experience managing Azure Storage Accounts and Managed Disks.
• Knowledge of Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience with RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA, and PIM.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Experience with Azure Security Center / Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault and Azure Policies.
• Knowledge of Azure App Services and other PaaS services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel and security monitoring.

Key Responsibilities ?

• Manage and support Azure infrastructure services.
• Monitor Azure environment health and performance.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Azure Automation.
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide L3 support.
• Participate in major incident management and RCA activities.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Ability to work in 24x7 support and on-call environments.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Troubleshooting Skills ?

• Ability to troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure issues.
• Experience with network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) preparation and documentation.
• Performance tuning and optimization of Azure resources.
• Incident handling for P1/P2 critical incidents.
• Experience working with Microsoft Support for escalations.
