Infrastructure Engineer (Network & Cloud)

Position Summary

The role involves offering technical, operational, and project assistance to the regional IT Infrastructure team across Asia-Pacific (primarily Hong Kong and Korea). You will support the implementation of new hybrid cloud and networking projects, collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure operational stability, and handle various infrastructure tasks including Linux/Windows server administration, firewall maintenance, cloud automation, asset inventory tracking, and ad-hoc 24/7 operational support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support infrastructure and networking projects across on-premise environments (Hong Kong office/datacenter and Korea office network upgrades) as well as MS Azure cloud platforms.
• Carry out day-to-day administration and maintenance for servers (Linux and Windows), storage, Active Directory, O365, and VMware virtualized environments.
• Manage network security hardware and configurations, including Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Cisco firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
• Execute system backup procedures, disaster recovery protocols, and maintain up-to-date hardware, software, and IT asset inventory records.
• Perform root-cause troubleshooting for technical support cases raised by internal teams or clients, and automate routine operational tasks using shell scripting, Azure CLI, or PowerShell.
• Support ad-hoc 24x7 infrastructure standby requests and rotational weekend datacenter maintenance activities (approx. once every 3 months with compensatory leave) to ensure high system availability.

Requirement

• Tertiary education or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• 2–5 years of proven hands-on experience in network support (handling Fortinet, Checkpoint, or Cisco Firewalls and Switches) and hybrid cloud / on-premise infrastructure administration.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows server setup, VMware platforms (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere), Microsoft Active Directory, O365, and MS Azure Cloud services (i.e., Azure VM, Subnets, Virtual Networks, NSGs).
• Hands-on skills in shell scripting, Azure CLI / PowerShell for cloud automation, and container environment setup (Docker or Podman).
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking credentials are preferred.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, time management, and a good command of spoken and written English.
• Able to work independently under pressure with a "Can Do" mindset and a willingness to support ad-hoc/rotational shift requirements.
