Infrastructure Engineer(4-6 Years Exp)

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of Compute, Networking, Storage, operating systems and virtualization technologies. This role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure services while supporting operational and project-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Operations

• Monitor, maintain, and support infrastructure environments.
• Perform routine system health checks and proactive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and service disruptions.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management activities as required.
• Provide end user support for any infra related issues.

Compute & Virtualization

• Support physical and virtual server environments.
• Perform server (Physical and Virtual) provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning activities.
• Basic administration of virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, OLVM, Vmware, etc
• Monitor server performance, resource utilization, and capacity.

Operating Systems

• Administer and support Windows environments.
• Administer and support Linux operating systems (RHEL, SLES, Ubuntu, etc.).

Networking

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Basic understanding of DNS and DHCP
• Coordinate with network teams during incident resolution and implementation activities.

Storage & Backup

• Good understanding of RAID, SAN, NAS, storage technologies.
• Monitor storage utilization and capacity.
• Support storage provisioning and expansion activities.
• Understanding of backup and recovery concepts.

Hardware Support

• Support server, storage, and network hardware lifecycle activities.
• Coordinate hardware installations, replacements, and warranty repairs.
• Perform basic hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
