Job Title: Infrastructure Lead

Rate: £500-600/day (INSIDE IR35)

Contract Length: 2 Year Project (6 monthly rolling)

Location: Remote with very limited travel to site throughout

Infrastructure Lead - Role & Responsibilities

• Develop a structured approach for delivering enterprise infrastructure services consistently across a large, distributed estate.
• Shape the service framework, including ownership models, governance, service definitions and the processes required to bring new capabilities into use.
• Work with technical and operational teams to ensure infrastructure solutions can be supported, maintained and scaled effectively.
• Establish clear processes for service onboarding, operational handover, performance measurement and ongoing improvement.
• Align architecture, engineering, security and service management stakeholders to create a sustainable operating model that can be adopted by internal teams.

Infrastructure Lead - Required Experience

• Proven experience designing or implementing service operating models within enterprise infrastructure, hybrid cloud or platform environments.
• Strong understanding of IT service management principles, service transition, operational acceptance and ongoing service lifecycle management.
• Broad technical awareness across virtualisation, hyper-converged infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, security and container technologies.
• Experience defining service governance, accountability frameworks, service catalogues and repeatable onboarding processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into practical, supportable services; experience in manufacturing, industrial IT/OT or distributed-site environments would be advantageous.
