What they need
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a leading international contractor with decades of experience delivering infrastructure across Europe. They have earned a strong reputation for engineering quality, safe working and dependable programme delivery, and they work in long-term partnership with public authorities, network operators and major private clients.
Poland remains one of Europe’s most active infrastructure markets, with sustained investment in transport networks, energy and utilities. Our client has an established and growing presence in Warsaw, combining an experienced local team with the resources and technical support of a wider international group.
Following a series of significant contract wins, the business is expanding its engineering capability. This is a great time to join an organisation that offers stability, variety of work and a genuine commitment to developing its people into future project leaders.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS
You will work within a multidisciplinary project team delivering major infrastructure works, which may include transport links, structures, utilities diversions, drainage and associated civil engineering. Schemes are large and complex, with many interfaces between disciplines, stakeholders and live operational environments.
The team culture is collaborative, practical and supportive. Engineers are trusted with real responsibility from early on and are encouraged to solve problems, contribute ideas and build their technical and commercial skills alongside experienced Project and Senior Project Managers.
You will be involved across the delivery lifecycle, from design development and pre-construction planning through to construction, testing, commissioning and handover. This breadth of exposure builds the well-rounded experience needed to progress into project leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide engineering support to the delivery team, ensuring infrastructure works are built safely, to specification and on programme
- Coordinate design information, technical submittals and RFIs with designers, the client’s representatives and the Engineer
- Develop method statements, risk assessments, inspection and test plans and temporary works requirements
- Manage interfaces with utility providers, authorities and other contractors working on or around the site
- Supervise subcontractors and monitor progress, workmanship and compliance against the programme
- Contribute to short-term programming, progress reporting and resource planning
- Support the commercial team with quantities, daily records and change identification under FIDIC conditions
- Compile quality records, as-built documentation and handover packages
- Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety and environmental performance
WHAT YOU NEED
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a Project or Site Engineer on infrastructure or civil engineering projects, preferably with a main contractor
- Sound technical knowledge of infrastructure works such as roads, rail, structures or utilities
- Awareness of FIDIC or similar contract conditions would be an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work fronts
- Good communication skills in English; Polish language skills are highly beneficial
- A proactive approach and ambition to progress into project leadership
WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN
This role offers a salary of up to €100,000, alongside a competitive benefits package. More importantly, it provides a long-term career platform with a stable and expanding international contractor, giving you hands-on experience on major infrastructure and a clearly supported route to Senior Engineer and Project Manager. You will learn from experienced leaders and benefit from a pipeline of work that offers genuine longevity.
