Infrastructure Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager (PMO)

Responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure projects including modernization, migration, transformation, and upgrades from planning to transition
• Develop project plans with schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and changes
• Coordinate technical activities across implementation, migration, rollout, cutover, and handover
• Track progress to ensure scope, timeline, and quality requirements are met
• Collaborate with teams across infrastructure, application, security, operations, and vendors to drive delivery
• Apply technical expertise in discussions, assessments, planning, and project decisions
• Coordinate cross‑domain activities beyond primary technical expertise
• Manage stakeholder communication including reporting, meetings, and escalation
• Align delivery with operations ensuring readiness and continuity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years’ project management experience delivering IT infrastructure or technology projects
• Hands‑on technical expertise in Linux/Unix, Windows, or Deskside/End User Computing (EUC)
• Enterprise IT experience with knowledge of operations, dependencies, and service continuity
• Proven delivery of modernization, migration, upgrade, consolidation, or transformation projects including legacy environments
• Project management skills in managing plans, schedules, risks, issues, and stakeholders
• Coordination ability across multiple technical teams, vendors, and cross‑functional stakeholders
• Technical understanding to translate issues into project impacts, risks, and actions
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills with ability to deliver independently within contract period
• Flexibility to work across different infrastructure and technology areas
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence or similar project management platforms
• Language proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Industry experience in banking or financial services is beneficial
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ACP preferred; Agile knowledge beneficial
• Junior role consideration available for candidates with less experience
