About the Role

We are seeking an experienced  Infrastructure Technical Lead  to play a key role in a major IT infrastructure project. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate infrastructure activities, manage and prioritise Jira tasks, and provide technical guidance to IT infrastructure resources.

This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional who combines strong technical knowledge with project coordination, stakeholder management and Agile delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the IT Project Manager by translating high-level Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) into detailed Jira tasks.
• Create clear, actionable Jira tasks that can be easily understood and delivered by technical resources.
• Manage and coordinate the Jira Agile task queue and allocate tasks to appropriate resources.
• Monitor task progress and identify roadblocks, risks or potential design changes that may impact project timelines or effort.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on technical issues and delivery risks.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, planning sessions, Agile ceremonies and technical meetings.
• Coordinate and chair internal technical reviews and ad-hoc infrastructure meetings.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Technical SMEs to ensure Jira tasks are clearly defined.
• Act as an escalation point for complex or high-impact infrastructure issues.
• Provide infrastructure consulting, technical direction and support to IT resources and coordinate infrastructure resources and assist with the delivery of project activities.
• Ensure Jira tasks are progressed and completed within agreed timelines.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong enterprise infrastructure experience across data centre, networking, security, compute, storage and virtualisation environments.
• Networking: SD-WAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VLANs/VRFs and IP subnetting.
• Network security: Palo Alto and Fortinet; Load balancing: Citrix NetScaler/ADC.
• Compute & virtualisation: Dell, VMware/ESXi, Nutanix, Citrix VDI and NVIDIA vGPU.
• Microsoft & Linux: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, IIS, RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Storage, backup & recovery: NetApp, Veeam and AvePoint.
• Automation & scripting: Ansible, PowerShell, Python and Bash.
• Containerisation: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to PKI, system monitoring and reporting technologies.
• Experience managing Jira Agile queues and coordinating technical resources within IT projects.

Security Clearance

A security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or higher is mandatory for this position.
