Infusion Nurse PRN

We are a primary care/family practice office that centers our practice around our core values of compassion, consciousness, culture, and community. We embrace holistic and alternative therapies in addition to evidence based medicine and seek to establish long term patient:provider relationships in our practice. Our practice is looking for an Infusion Nurse to help with infusion therapy treatments. In this position, you will set up patients with an IV or other infusion device to administer fluids or medication. You will coordinate with the medical director to ensure that you are delivering the right dosage of the medication and reassure patients by answering any questions they may have about treatment. Our ideal applicant is a registered nurse (RN) with strong IV skills. You also need to have excellent patient care and communication skills. Infusion Nurse Duties And Responsibilities

• Set up the IV device for the patient
• Prepare the medication according to the medical director’s orders.
• Ensure the rights of medication administration
• Answer questions from the patient, obtain consent and proper signatures prior to administering medication.
• Create a calming environment and make sure the patient is comfortable during the treatment
• Chart administration in EMR
• Keep infusion room clean and tidy. Restock at end of each shift and perform required cleaning per office and CDC guidelines.
• Obtain payment from patient for infusion services.

This position is a variable, hourly, PRN position. Hours will vary between 8am-7pm, but may be variable depending on the daily schedule and pending your availability (ie: we can consider alternate start/stop times). We are currently hiring for PRN hourly coverage from 4-7pm each weekday. We value your time, therefore this position will not require overtime.

Infusion Nurse Requirements And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
• RN license- IA
• BLS
• Strong IV skills
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Experience with EMR charting
